Stacy (Stanley) Jagger (98) wins International John Lennon Songwriting Contest

Stacy Stanley Jagger (98) has been awarded the Grand Prize in the Jazz category of the international John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Session II.  Stacy's song “The Man I Love” is available as a FREE download at her website(www.stacyjagger.com) where one may also find a link to vote for Stacy, who is now in a public online voting battle with the former Session I winner now through April 6, 2007.  The song was produced by her husband, 1994 Belmont graduate producer/engineer Ron Jagger (www.ronjagger.com) as part of Stacy's 2006 debut CD release Faded Memories.

Stacy, a singer, songwriter, and vocal coach, teaches music and voice in the Spring Hill TN area, and is the director of Musical Motions (www.musicalmotions.com) in Spring Hill. Stacy also performs and speaks at women's conference events.  Her song was judged to be in the top 12 from amoung thousands of entries by the likes of Al Jarreau, Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Matt Pinfield, Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees , Lyfe Jennings, Teairra Mari, John Legend, and Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas.

Interested music lovers may visit the John Lennon Songwriting Contest website at http://jlsc.com/vote.phpto learn more about the contest and to hear songs and cast their votes up to once per day now through April 6th .  This round of public voting will determine the winners of the prestigious Lennon Awards, one in each of twelve categories. Stacy's song “The Man I Love” may be found in the Jazz category.
