Alumni-Owned Local Boutique Opens

Vickie L. Young (98) opened a new boutique, "Queen Bee" in January 2007. She formerly ran a small renovation company. Young also draws from her experiences studying Art History and Philosophy at Belmont University along with years of working at museums and retail.
Queen Bee is located in the newly renovated Edgehill Village in Nashville, TN. which is conviently located near Vanderbilt, Music Row, and Belmont University. It is housed inside the old White Way cleaners in a semi open space separated by the original windows from White way which add great charm and character to the boutique. The inside is complimenting shades of purple along with stainless and wood fixtures giving the space an industrial but warm feel.
The boutique showcases fine papers and gifts. The majority of paper venders carried are letterpress designs that include Elum, Hello Lucky, Little Oranges of California, and Peculiar Pair Press. Queen Bee also offers custom designs from local artists to fit the customer specific needs. The boutique includes unique gifts from Jonathon Adler, Paddywax candles, Retro 51, Working Class Studio, and others. Hand crafted jewelry and chic gift-wrap with coordinating ribbon are also carried.
Queen Bee offers world class customer service in a well appointed, friendly space. To further assist the needs of the clientele Queen Bee offers appointments for special orders and the space is available for parties.
