Former Bruin infielder Daniel Wagner will start at second base for the North Division All-Stars in Tuesday night's 2010 South Atlantic League All-Star Game.
Wagner, who was chosen in the 16th round of the 2009 MLB Entry Draft by the Chicago White Sox, will represent the Kannapolis (N.C.) Intimidators in the game.
The China Grove, N.C. native hit .323 with 10 home runs, 57 runs batted in and 24 stolen bases in 2009 for the Bruins.
Wagner currently ranks among the South Atlantic - aka "Sally" - League leaders in hits, stolen bases and at-bats.
The promising infielder is one of six Bruin players selected in the MLB Entry Draft since 2007, and 10 overall during the Dave Jarvis era.
Packy Elkins became the latest Bruin draftee, chosen by the St. Louis Cardinals two weeks ago.
