Courtney Nicole Salters-Henderson (class of 2008 ) Passes Away

Courtney Nicole Salters-Henderson passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at TriStar Summit Medical Center, Nashville, TN surrounded by family and friends. Courtney was born September 29, 1975 in Tupelo, Mississippi to John and Carolyn Salters. Courtney graduated from Tupelo High School and received a B.S. from Vanderbilt University and her MBA from Belmont University both in Nashville, Tennessee. Courtney was employed at Vanderbilt University as the director of Student Organizations and Governments where she was employed for 23 years. Courtney was a member of Kimble Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Belden, Mississippi in her youth and became a member of Born Again Church after relocating to Nashville. While at Born Again Church, she served in many capacities: Nursing Home Ministry, Children's Church, BAC Minstrels, and was an Ordained Elder. She loved to sing and serve others and she loved children. Services will be held Tuesday January 31, 2017 at Born Again Church Nashville TN at 1:00pm. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery North Nashville TN. Terrell Broady Funeral Home in Charge of service. Courtney is survived by her husband, Ronald Warren Henderson; son, Micah; her parents, John and Carolyn Salters of Tupelo, Mississippi; two brothers, Quincy Berry (Jacquelyn) and Allen Ezell; paternal grandfather, Leon Salters; maternal grandmother, Alma Hughes, all of Tupelo and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
