Barbara Stone Hallums (79), a 20-year teaching veteran of Lebanon High School, teaches math, honors algebra II and discrete math, was awarded the Wilson County Teacher of the Week. When asked about her teaching style, Barbara said, "I like to use a variety of teaching methods due to the many different learning styles in my classroom. I want to challenge students out of their comfort zone because this is where learning is best found. Students need to learn to think for themselves, and that they learn from mistakes, but that I am always there if they need me." Click here for more on this.
