Becky Gann, Class of 2001, has been named the new director for TCU's Values and Ventures Program.
Gann, former executive director of the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE), will lead the Values and Ventures® program for TCU and oversee the Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures® Business Plan Competition, a global student competition that focuses on new ventures with strong business viability while creating value and meaning for the organization and/or significantly improving quality of life.
From 2009-2013, Gann served as executive director of USASBE, the largest association in the world dedicated to advancing the discipline of entrepreneurship, with more than 1,000 members. She partnered with the board to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives, and managed the annual national conference. Prior to that she was program coordinator for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Belmont University, where she managed co-curricular programs for entrepreneurship majors, coordinated events, managed operations for two hatcheries and four student-run businesses, and served as an advisor to Belmont's chapter of Collegiate DECA.
In 2014, Gann was inducted as a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow of the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. She holds a BBA and MBA from Belmont University.
