Lisa Kathleen Lessard died Friday July 4, 2014 at the age 52 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. She was born March 8, 1962 in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of Louise Reid Cox of Smithville, TN and the late William Hamlin. Lisa served as Chief of Technical Services at the Brentwood City Library in Brentwood, TN. She graduated from Belmont University in '83 and received her Master's Degree from Vanderbilt University. She was member of the First Presbyterian Church in Forest City, NC where she served as the Technologies/Web Mistress for the church. In addition to being an avid supporter of Tribal Schools in the Western United States and the Appalachian Relief Society, she was a member of the ASPCA as well. Lisa, along with her family, was an essential part of building the Lighthouse Christian Camp in Smithville, TN. She leaves behind her mother, husband, Chief Petty Officer Ronald Lessard, (USN Ret.), a sister, Darlene Cox Brown of Chattanooga, as well as several half brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held on July 8, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church of Forest City. Her final resting place is at the Lake View Cemetery in Ludington, Michigan.
