Joseph Winton Williams, Sr. Nashville, TN Passed away November 4, 2013 and is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Addie Jo Burnette Williams; five children, Brenda (Jim Hooper), Beverly (Don Baskin), Cheryl (Xavier Grenas), Tammy, Joe (Sujittra Williams); sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Barbara (Jim Hopper) and nephew, Curtis Hopper and niece, Cindy (Mike House). Winton was born in Clay County, TN on April 15, 1934, son of the late Cordell Hull Williams and Velma Pigg Williams. He joined the United States Navy in 1952 and is a Veteran of the Korean War. He earned his college degree from Belmont University while working at Ford Glass Plant in Nashville. He retired from Ford after 35 years of service. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts in memory of Joseph Winton Williams may be made to Donelson Christian Academy, 300 Danyacrest Drive, Nashville, TN 37214 or to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
The Memorial Service was held on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Donelson Church of Christ with Mr. Russ King officiating.
