Samantha Ryan Barnsfather, Class of 2004, to receive Ph.D. in Historical Musicology

Samantha Ryan Barnsfather (mezzo soprano) received her B.A. in Voice and History at Campbellsville University (Campbellsville, KY), M.M. in Music Education (Elementary/Middle School Emphasis) at Belmont University (Nashville, TN) and will receive her Ph.D. in Historical Musicology at the University of Florida on August 9, 2013. Her research interests include 19th and 20th century British and Polish vocal music, nationalism, music and gender, and the works of Frederick Delius and Ronald Stevenson.
Samantha is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Santa Fe College (Gainesville, FL) where she teaches Music Appreciation, American Popular Music, and Fundamentals of Music.
